We spent a week in an apartment complex on the Costa del Sol to have a short break from moving around and eating out – and to watch some English TV channels. The Costa del Sol coastline is dotted with large apartment complexes and shopping centres (with many real estate agents focused on selling properties to British and northern European residents) stretching back into the hills.
Once a small whitewashed fishing village, Marbella is now a cosmopolitan beach resort and a focal point for European travellers.

We visited Mijas Pueblo, a traditional Andalucían village of whitewashed houses set in the hills overlooking the Costa del Sol.
